Great restaurant - better to go here and sit in the tiled dining room, with Iberian hams hanging up and lobsters and fish on ice, than to take your chances out on a terrace where you never really know what you're going to get. The fish soup was the best I have tasted, and the grilled fish was fresh and succulent.

The service here was the worst I've ever encountered anywhere! The miserable waiting staff, particularly one feisty waitress, made it very clear that the customers were nothing more than a nuisance. There seems to be one wine list for the entire restaurant. When I ate there, nobody in the restaurant looked at all happy with their treatment, to the point where I made eye contact with a snubbed customer across the restaurant and we both started laughing in reaction to the appalling service. Language barriers crumble when everyone thinks the same thing about the way they're being treated. The aforementioned waitress even drove out one German family who had the audacity to sit at a table that she hadn't bothered clearing. The Dutch couple beside us waited a good 15 minutes for their second starter to arrive and were still waiting when we left. I wished them good luck ... you'll need it if you eat here.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
