The National Gallery of Victoria is split between two sites, the Australian collection in Federation Square and the international collection, housed in St Kilda.
The NGV is on St Kilda Road, but not actually in St Kilda. Take a tram heading south along Swanston St and the building is a block or so after the Yarra River on the right side. You can't miss it - it's a grey stone building with a water wall at the entrance.Send your feedback or queries to been.there@guardian.co.uk
