They have plenty of well-equipped apartments for rent in Budapest downtown. Prices are not very low but still OK and the service is excellent.
I stayed in a flat near Octogon and I had a great time there.
We booked a flat in Paris based on information on the website. When we arrived on a Saturday night the key was not available. With a lot of luck we were able to contact a local agent who was able to get us into the flat that Holiday Velvet had booked with them for us. it was not the flat shown on the web. It was small and cramped and cost two thirds of what we paid. We have been ignored by Holiday Velvet and have not received our deposit refund let alone any refund of the difference in the rental.
Two great apartments right in the old town and next to the harbour. Owned by a very friendly family who will tell you all you need to know about the island and its history as well as helping you plan trips around the island.
I booked a holiday apartment in the centre of Barcelona, just off Las Ramblas with this company. They picked us up at the airport and took us straight to our beautiful apartment, which was a great base for exploring Barcelona and really made our holiday.
I had always wanted to visit Rome (all that wonderful history and art to see), but was on a budget and didn't think I could afford a decent hotel.
Some time spent scouring Google came up with Italy Accom - a Rome-based firm who rent out apartments, villas and farmhouses across Italy for holiday tourists.
The owners (Jill & Leon) are Australian/English and they were wonderful with the help they provided me and my partner in finding a lovely place to stay for our two weeks in Roma!
We got a lovely studio apartment located on Via Vittoria. This is one of Rome's best streets, with lots of lovely cafes, bars and shops nearby.
The equivalent in a hotel room in this area was at least 60 Euros a night more expensive, plus we got privacy AND space to stretch out.
Being able to cook your own meal with fabulous fresh ingredients from the local market was a delight! It tastes a whole lot better than the "stuff" from Italian restaurants back home.
Thanks Jill and Leon for your help. We had a wonderful time in Rome, in no small part due to your great service (and the lovely studio Vittoria we stayed in).
Rome is the experience of a lifetime! But, we'll be back - one visit is just not enough.
It's a self-catering apartment. I stayed there for one week and I just loved it, because it's really nice with a cute garden view. It's in the very centre, pretty close to everything.
It's in Veress Palne utca, right next to Vaci utca in district 5. Nearest metro is Kalvin ter. However you mostly need to walk only.

Dar Lazuli in Essaouira is a really tranquil, relaxing place to stay. It has a great location just inside the medina walls, a minute's walk from the beach, main square and cafes.
The riad is full of character and lovely white painted walls which just make the whole place feel full of light.
The beds are huge and really comfortable, and there are two terraces where you can sit and enjoy meals outside. Essaouira can be pretty windy and the terraces are really sheltered.
The Moroccan couple that look after Dar Lazuli are incredibly friendly, keep the place immaculate and can't do enough for you. Latifa can also cook delicious meals for you in your apartment which I thoroughly recommend!

My family and I stayed in an apartment last month with a company called BCN Rentals, and I wanted to recommend them. They were very easy to deal with over the phone (English staff) and email, the apartments were clean and central, and they also organised a minivan to collect us as we had a fair bit of luggage.
I rented an apartment with Pillowapartments on Paseo Joan De Borbón for four weeks in March 2008. The apartment was wonderful, everything first rate. Many things were within walking distance and the metro is the best for access to all other areas. I spent most of my time in the museums and wandering the beautiful neighborhoods around the museums.
A typical market is steps away from the apartment as are numerous fine cafes. The city’s best shopping areas are just blocks away. I found an Asian market within blocks for great vegetarian food. The internet place on the street was great since I left my laptop at home, even though the apartment is wired for access. I can't say enough about management, everyone was so nice to me and so helpful. I will not hesitate to stay again when I come to Barcelona and highly recommend pillowapartments to everyone.
Website for self-catering accommodation. Nice properties and you can see availability and prices.
Assuming you can get a flight, there is still some cheap accommodation in Moscow.
The Voschod Hotel say they have doubles available for 2,400 rubles per night (about £25 each). Be prepared for a very basic facility though. The Hotel Sovietsky (a deliciously kitsch venue just north of the Garden Ring) have rooms for 7,200 rubles - £156. The Warsaw Hotel has singles for 4,300 rubles (about £94) and doubles for 6,250 (about £135 or £68 each). Like Home Apartments have flats available before and after the match.
And if you need a visa try Real Russia: they’re among the cheapest, and you’ll be able to track progress of your application online.

I'm from Germany - I'm renting an apartment in Buenos Aires, and I'm very satisfied with the neighbourhood and the neighbours. I'm living in Recoleta, Buenos Aires. The place is awesome and the people are friendly, too. Also,I'd recommend an apartment (Alojargentina) rental agency because they did a great job. The agency was an important support for me. I'm happy here - my tip is to choose to live in Recoleta when you go to Argentina.

Instead of staying in a hotel on Rhodes, I'd suggest renting an apartment. The town of Lindos is particularly pleasant and I recommend a company called Luxury Lindos Villas. Their apartments are very stylish and have their own pools.

This is a lovely, clean, airy apartment around 5-10 minutes from Las Ramblas.
It sleeps 2-4 people comfortably and has very good facilities and is also very secure.
The nearest Metro station is Liceu.
There are numerous places to eat in close proximity to the apartment, all of which are excellent and outstanding value.
Ramon, the owner of the property, was a lovely guy and a real pleasure to do business with.
I fully intend on staying at this apartment again when I next visit Barcelona and cannot think of a reason why I would want to stay anywhere else!

A good source of the top three-, four- and five-star hotels and apartments in Edinburgh and what to do in the city. You can also book online and find business meeting rooms based on numbers required.
If you’re staying for more than a few days in Buenos Aires, renting an apartment from an agency is an excellent option to booking a hotel room by the night. Stay In Buenos Aires is an agency with a bilingual website that offers apartments in the city by the week or monthly.

Brand new hostel in central Berlin. Ideally located, five minutes' walk to Alexander Platz and 10 minutes to Mitte. The rooms in are spacious and nicely furnished, so they are just perfect for temporary living as well.
The building is a former factory and represents for me a typical Berlin atmosphere. The mixture of old and new in a city where ideas have space to grow. The centre of the building is the enormous atrium, where, as well as in the lounge, you will meet other backpackers and can make new friends. The owners made a private dream come true with this hostel and you'll have a warm welcome in this place.

We loved the apartment we rented in Venice through Houses in Venice. This was our first apartment experience while in Venice. We know that you value input from travelers and here is ours.
The apartment we rented was central to all our activities in Venice and the accommodations could not have been better. The apartment was clean, warm, and accommodating with a full kitchen.
In making the advance arrangements, Housesinvenice.com was very helpful and cooperative. More economical than a hotel stay.
Slightly off the tourist trail situated just off the 'Plaza Trinidad' below the Cathedral (so no snappers on the doorstep).
Yes, the decor a is a little OTT including the large basket of faux fruit, (check the web link) but it made for an amusing start to the holiday.
We only stayed for two days (late Feb 2008) so didn't spend much time in or around the hostel but the location was perfectly within walking distance of the Cathedral (2mins), the Albaicin quarter (3/4mins) and the Alhambra (10/15mins to the ticket office); however, if your holiday party includes people not as fit as most then something a little closer to or in the Albaicin might be better as the city is sited on a gradiant with the hostel at the bottom.
Some of the rooms (and the one we stayed in) are situated in a building two doors from the main hostel with the reception.
We had the apartment, but looking back this was perhaps a waste of 20 euros per night as the only things (I imagine) we gained was a flight of stairs to reach our room on the top floor, a tiny 'kitchen' food prep area and tiny terrace with no view.
The kitchen wasn't much use due to the lack of pans (for the two-plate hob) or kettle so no night-time cocoa or early morning tea. Only coffee drinkers were catered for with a stove top coffee pot, but all they provided was clean etc.
Everything in the apartment was clean, tidy and hygenic however the notice in the bathroom reading 'Please do not flush towels, use the bin provided'; with a rather dubious looking open-topped wastepaper bin beside the toilet was a little offputting...
Overall, I'd recommend a stay because the owners are so nice and friendly, making no fuss over the fact we were a gay male couple... but perhaps not in the apartment as it wasn't much use in the end. Save those additional euros for some tapas or drinks in the bustling bar on the plaza instead or the fantastic veggie restaurant Botanico on C/Malaga round the corner.

There are hundreds of estate agents along the French Riviera. I have dealt with these in the recent past and my experience was very positive. They are fully registered estate agents, so the buyer is protected.
They don't do rentals themselves but can put you in touch with property managers who can organise a great apartment to rent for a week or so!
Just a quick tip. Hope it helps someone.
