Over the last couple of years several of my friends have bought places in Nice and Cannes. Their experiences have been varied but we all wanted to recommend one bunch of people - Totally Riviera. They're not an estate agent, but they act for the buyers in the same way that estate agents act for sellers. And their service (which has been faultless - nothing less than brilliant) is absolutely free. I thought I'd mention them here because although it's not their core business, they also know a lot about rentals along the Riviera. If you want to rent or buy in Cannes, Nice, or Villefranche you could do far worse than contact Dennis and the team. Fast, friendly, open, honest and fun to deal with.

An outfit calling itself RomeCityApartments has many hidden charges. Beware of them and don't believe you will get any service or what you expected or even paid for. The airport car we had paid them to collect us did not show up and then after abuse from them we were forced to pay an extra 50 euros for arriving to their office late. They were the only bad thing about our week in Rome.

Hi, a friend of mine lives in Prague couple of moths already and seems to enjoy it so far. He and his wife sent me couple of pictures from recent 650th Charles Bridge Anniversary - and the place really seems to be very pretty.

Now, I have also visited www.traveliana.com for its Prague virtual panoramas and since Traveliana agents claim it is about the time to make the decision I would like to get an answer for my question. Is New Year Eve party in Prague still worth it? What is your experience for that specific term? This forum have a lot of answers but not this one :)

Their website with many usefull information (guide, map) also offer online booking for hotels, apartments, transfers or tours. The best of all is their really personal attitude to clients. They are able to help with almost any request, suggest the best place to stay or to eat. I suggest to go through their Special offers section, where you could find really good deals.

An alternative to booking a hotel is to rent an apartment. It can work out cheaper and makes you feel as if you are meant to be in the city. To do this there are a number of good websites.

We found our apartment through www.2abookings.com. In fact the exact address for where we stayed was www.2abookings.com/new/establecimiento/info.asp?Idhotel=428&idi
For Casa Doña Teresa we paid €2,520 for 5 weeks. We also rented a separate one bedroom flat for two weeks for friends and family at an additional cost of €787.50.

Other good sites are:
www.sol.com
www.barriosantacruz.com/apartments
www.casaspain.com
www.sevillarent.com
