With new management, this has become a lovely, cheery apres ski bar with live acoustic music, good vin chaud and a crackling fire, filling a much needed gap for a nice bar in Les Praz. It's perfect for coming down from Flegere in winter and has a relaxing terrace and of course the Boulodrome for summer nights. The rooms are very good value too.

Ski resort with LOTS of guaranteed snow and great nightlife (already over 1m base on 20th dec).
Skiing the Agui De Midi on the foot of Mont Blanc is possibly one of the best skiing/boarding experiences that any intermediate or advanced can accomplish.
At the foot of the lift that will bring you back down from this fantastic experience is the South Bar, which I recommend as the best après-ski in the area. The fact that it's a Swedish run bar means that it's full of attractive women and men and there is always quality live music. But best of all is sitting in the downstairs bar watching all the Scandinavians falling and making a fool of themselves whilst coming down the very steep stairs in their ski/board boots. We counted 6 in one hour, one evening. Great fun!

After a hard days boarding, take yourself to the bottom of the slopes into the town for a well earned beverage in Mont Fort, get there before 5pm and order a couple of sharp ones at half price.

It is a fantastic location with great skiing for all abilities (including experienced racers). The après-ski starts during the day with the on-piste restaurants providing a party atmosphere from 11am. All in all, it is a great resort.
Great DJ bar/restaurant right at the bottom of the Asagai snowboard park, part of the Naeba resort in Niigata. It's actually a short walk up the hill from Naeba itself (for those of you that have never been, an all-in ski pass for Naeba, next door Tashiro and, best of all, Kagura is a whole recommendation in itself). The space itself is pretty rough 'n' ready but on a good weekend the DJs they get in from Tokyo put most Japanese après-ski to shame. Opens late-ish December I think.

The ideal place for après-ski drinking. This lively seasonaires favourite serves the legendary Mutzig on tap - a locally brewed and exceptionally strong lager. After a few pints of this tasty and throughly warming beer, you will be ready to hit the town even harder than you hit the slopes earlier!

Located slap bang in the centre of Chamonix, this popular riverside cafe/bar has great views and often puts on live music. Make sure you stay for a drink or two in its sumptuous upstairs lounge bar.

This Canadian run microbrewery produces several of its own excellent beers and lagers, and has a great menu of bar snacks (cross-cut fries, nachos, etc) and more substantial evening meals. It attracts a lively apres-ski crowd who flock there to enjoy 'giraffes' of beer, and there's live music several times a week. It's very popular so you'll need to book a table for dinner.

If you’re after a lively apres ski then Longhorn is the spot. It’s situated right in between the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas in Whister Village, so you really can’t miss it. It serves up a range of tasty bar snacks as well as drinks – the nachos and chicken wings are worthy of note.

If you fancy some (ahem) ‘exotic’ entertainment then pass by The Boot pub (every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) for the infamous ‘Boot Ballet’. It’s legendary in Whistler, and comes highly recommended by the recently visiting British Snowboard team.

Whistler has plenty of good night spots, but Garfunkels is one of the better ones. It’s pretty popular and is regularly packed. It puts on quality music acts including big name DJs from Vancouver, which is a refreshing change for a ski resort. Also check out Buffalo Bills.
