    Orsom's Sunset Cruise

Posted by newelly 26 April 2008

Orsom is a sail catamaran that does trips up the Barcelona shoreline. A great way to see the city. But best of all are their sunset cruises with live jazz and chillout music. They've got a bar on board so get yourself a glass of cava and enjoy.

The port at the bottom of the Ramblas near the Columbus statue.

Cape Town is a city of spectacular sights! If in a chair, take a cruise from the V&A waterfront. The city and table mountain will float by. Many wine and safari tours are accessible too!

    The unforgettable Great Barrier Reef

Posted by Dowson 20 December 2007

In Australia the star of the show is the Great Barrier Reef. The only living organism visible from space is in fact a collection of corals, living and growing in the shallow seas and forming hundreds of reefs which stretch 1,430 miles along the Queensland coast, home to thousands of fish and plants.

As a first-time snorkeller, I swam from pristine sandy beaches and from the dive platform of the Coral Princess into another world so beautiful it takes your breath away – especially when your snorkel’s on the wrong way round and you swallow half the Coral Sea! Unforgettable.

    Coral Princess views

Posted by Dowson 20 December 2007

An outstanding memory from our trip to Australia was the view from the deck of our cruise ship, the Coral Princess, as she sailed south down the edge of the outer Great Barrier Reef with a line of white surf stretching in either direction as far as the eye could see, where the deep ocean waters break on the continental shelf.

Every now and again the surface was broken by a flying fish skittering across the waves.

    Sailing on the Hudson

Posted by texasclaude 3 December 2007

The Circle Line is wonderful for a tour around Manhattan Island. It should not be missed. But much more exciting was our cruise on the Schooner Adirondack. There are some four sailings a day and we chose the sunset one.

You board at Chelsea Piers (on the Hudson near West 23rd). The two-hour cruise goes to the Statue of Liberty and returns, with champagne served by the crew.

The sunset cruise is particularly beautiful because you see the sunset to the west over New Jersey and to the east looms the skyline of lower Manhattan which is lit up brilliantly by the time you turn around and head back.

Unfortunately the cruise only runs from the end of April through the end of October. Cost is around $50, champagne included. We will never forget it!

The Istanbul-Bodrum ferry is an ideal way to travel between Bodrum and Istanbul, offering excellent views of the Aegean coast and Greek islands on the way, and a dramatic entrance into the heart of Istanbul.

More like a cruise liner than a cross-channel ferry, it has a swimming pool, fitness centre and restaurants. The ship leaves Istanbul on Fridays and Mondays, and Bodrum on Sundays and Wednesdays (Istanbul-Bodrum is about 24 hours, Istanbul-Cesme is 17 hours). The midweek sailings stop in Çeşme on the way. Prices are about £50-70 per person sharing a two-berth or double outside cabin, meals not included.

    Halong Bay

Posted by JohnKelly 11 April 2007

Halong Bay is the most beautiful nature sight destination in Vietnam.

It covers about 1,900 spectacular limestone islands and islets jutting out over the South China Sea.

The best way to see this area is to take the junk boat cruise and spending the night on the bay is a must.

Find out Halong Bay travel information, photos, hotels or junk cruises from website bellow:

    Cruise the Stockholm archipelago

Posted by Lenita 29 March 2007

Absolutely fabulous! In the archipelago outside Stockholm you can either take a trip in a boat of your own, take a daytrip with Waxholmsbolaget for example or cruise around ("båtluffa") for a few days.

    An archaeological gulet cruise

We sailed along the Lycian coast out of Gocek. It was a truly magical trip - beautiful sea for sailing and swimming, marvellous food, and amazing ancient cities to explore. What could be finer?

    Avoid the river cruise

Posted by TheElk 25 August 2006

If you've been on the Thames or the Seine, you really won't get anything from this - views of old Expo '90 buildings and a lot of wasteland. We went because it was a massively hot day and we wanted to cool down, but we'd have been better off boiling.

    Lunch on the Seine

Posted by paperman 14 February 2006

Two hour lunch cruise on Bateaux Parisiens, wine included, €50-70 per person. We chose the €70 option and had a table at the front of the boat, good quality food, good wine, excellent service and serenaded. What more do you want?

Taking a guide book when you easyCruise

Posted by RichyJ 11 September 2005

Having spent a few nights on easyCruise after a music festival in Spain I suggest that anyone following in my steps on the satsuma coloured floating youth hostel take with them some guide books for the area. The prices might be lacking but so is the staff, most we spoke to had never left site of the boat and couldn't recommend restaurants, provide advice on attractions or even tell you where the nearest bus stop is.
