Kiwi Gourmet Burger is pretty similar to GBK in London and New Zealand, offering a wide range of gourmet-influenced burgers. I recommend the delicious (and very meaty) veggie burgers, and the Rooibos iced tea, which always cured my homesickness for South Africa.
Near Taipower MRT station, towards the Shida night market. Come out of the station going towards the market and turn left down a small alley - you'll see the restaurant from the main street.
Round the corner from the Trevi fountain, a little bit away from the tourist hordes, is the San Crispino gelateria. There's usually a long queue, so you'll know where it is before you get there. The flavours are really inventive - last time I had honey, ginger and cinnamon - and the quality of the gelati is fantastic. Definitely the best gelati in Rome.

My boyfriend had been promising to take me for ages and we were married by the time I eventually got to experience this wonderful tea room in a beautiful spot on Dartmoor. It was worth the wait. The scones are delicious: homemade to a secret recipe and served with a mountain of clotted cream. But the setting is what really sets this apart. An ideal point to start or finish a walk along the Dart and in the grounds there is an intriguing rescue centre for (mostly) wildfowl. Not just a great cream tea, but a great day out too.

Almost reluctant to publicise it. In the Brickfields area of KL, on the ground floor of the Temple of Fine Arts - a charitable arts institution. Great vegetarian Indian buffet where you are encouraged not to take more than you can eat and pay what you feel it is worth.

B For is a restaurant situated in Avenida 8 de Agosto in Ibiza, just close to the famous club Pacha.
The name explains everything, if you are going to B For, you are definitely going to taste some sushi, sashimi and other japanese dishes.
With beautiful interior design, relaxed atmosphere and lounge music, this is the place to go to have a nice dinner before a proper dance night.
I recommend it for its exclusive and relaxed atmosphere.

In many respects it's quite an ordinary farmers market but Olympian's are incredibly friendly and take their local produce very seriously. Grab a coffee and a gigantic slab of cake from the Marketplace Bakery, enjoy some random conversation and watch great local bands.

This must be the best B&B in Wales. The rooms are really bright and comfortable and spotlessly clean and the food is delicious. Nick and Mair the owners are friendly, helpful and great with the children. The surrounding area is beautiful. We have been back time and time again.

Forget Giolitti's (only really famous because of the number of flavours) - the Gelateria del Teatro on Via di Simone near the Piazza Navona is The best. Many flavours and made on the premises by the family who own and run it, and made with fresh local produce. Reasonable prices too (unlike San Crispino's). The only gelateria to which I gave repeat custom.

This is a relatively new tapas bar/cafeteria just off the main through road of town. It is the second El Duque in Nerja and is run by the son of the family that owns both. It serves a tapas with every drink and has a very good menu that will suit all family members, a great bar to watch the football during the season, especially the big games when all the locals come out. Very entertaining.

The eating in Betws-y-Coed can be a bit average (mixed grill or curry with half rice/half chips). Which is why we found the Bistro a real bonus. Nice place with a great menu, just make sure you book ahead. Wales is famous for its sheep - this place should be famous for its lamb. Mouth watering stuff. Enjoy.
Just before the little road which leads down to Barafundle Bay is the Stackpole Inn. A great little pub with fantastic beers and even better food. Recommended to anyone before or after a trip to Barafundle.
This is a find! Birthplace of the Jacobean playwright John Fletcher (he was as well known as Shakespeare in his day) this charming house is now Fletcher's Tea Rooms.
A great place for morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon teas. The size of the scones is amazing and makes other cafe's scones look a trifle midget! The owners are gracious and charming and there is a warm welcome.
Upstairs is a quaint, but stunning, private function room. Perfect for a small party or gathering. I was invited to a private funtion and the buffet was absolutely stunningly presented.
The house is situated right beside the church in Rye, one of the quaint Cinque Ports. Lamb House, a National Trust property, is close by. It was home to the authors Henry James and, later, E.F. Benson creator of the 'Mapp & Lucia'novels. The fictional 'Tilling' is in fact Rye and you can walk around and see the houses and locations used in the TV series.
We loved Rye and the atmosphere and food at Fletcher's. Well worth a visit!
Aguas Blancas means White Waters and is a beautiful beach on the east side of Ibiza with brown sand and a high rock wall behind the beach.
Aguas Blancas is also the name of the sandy-floored restaurant that offer its service in this beach.
I recommend it for three reasons:
- I love the beach and the view there
- Sensational paellas
- Home made ice cream! :-)
This is not a mainstream places like many in Ibiza, but a nice place to see and eat on the east side of the island.

A slice of heaven about 40 minute drive north of Barcelona. Words really cannot describe how amazing this place is. If you're looking for some peace and quiet for a few days then I would really recommend spending some time at Can Bonastre. Set within 200 acres of vineyards at the foot of the Montserrat mountains, there are a couple of very good restaurants, spa, swimming pool and they produce all their own wine on site. Well worth bringing back a few bottles!
This is a side of Central America you might not expect.
The mild and mellow Caribbean vibe of Tela is far removed from the discos and drive throughs of San Pedro Sula. It is a pretty town, with a main square to wander around and drink watermelon licaudos. Whatever you do, do not leave without trying pan de coco, a traditional local bread made from coconut flesh. Especially when warm, they are delicious.
From here, you can easily get to the Garífuna villages of Miami, La Ensenada and Triufuno de la Cruz. Thatched huts on sandy roads with delicious seafood and not-too-bad beaches you can swim from (do check). Well worth a visit to get a feeling of Garífuna life and culture, a people descended from indigenous carib islanders, with a strong cultural identity kept alive through language, dance and story-telling.
Tela is a couple of hours bus ride away from San Pedro Sula. Buses leave every couple of hours from the main bus station (Terminal de bus) and it costs around £2.
From Tela, the little bus depot is just off the main square, buses leave all day long for the Garífuna villages, usually piled high with people and stuff.
La Cantina is a great place for a snack. On a side street off Via Roma.
