If you're tired of Italian, Indian, and Chinese restaurants, then this might be just up your street.
Eemaan is a Kurdish restaurant in Newcastle,so when I saw it I felt I just had to try it. The food was delicious and the surroundings friendly. I got an even better surprise when I checked out the bill, which was fabulously value-for-money.
Kurdish food, I found out, is mostly rice and delicious casseroles with fresh naan, washed down with loads of mastow. The Kurdish and middle eastern people drink lashings of this yoghurt drink. If you've still got any room left after the huge portions, try a steaming hot Kurdish tea which they brew in a samovar and a selection of pastries.
This restaurant makes cooking rice an art form, and I loved the yummy naan. If you've never tried Kurdish food before, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do, although a word of warning - as a halal restaurant it does not serve alcohol.

When in the tiny hippi village on El Bolson in Patagonia, eat at the new yet historically named Martin Sheffield restaurant, which has the kind of cuisine and service that you would be hard pushed to find in any Michelin starred restaurant in London all for just £10.
The restaurant is named after the 19th century explorer from England, Martin Sheffield and is still owned and run by his ancestors.
This place offers some of the most varied meals(it actually does vegetarian food) in all of Argentina and is definately worth a visit if you're nearby. Its unusual, quality and so affordable.

The perfect base for exploring the beautiful lake district outside Salzburg. A lovely town on the edge of Fuschlsee, it offers a variety of hikes from the leisurely stroll around the lake to long taxing routes toward San Gilgen. Fuschl has several hotels, a well-run camp site, and Edenbergers restaurant.

Austria suffers from no shortage of beer kellers, but drinking underground is not everyone’s mug of beer. But the Stiegl Keller, located below the walls of the Hohensalzburg, lets you to sup while seated outdoors, enjoying some of the best views the city offers.

Cachilas is worth a visit for the ferry ride across the estuary alone. But take the time to have a look around (it’s not too pretty, but very different from Lisbon) and sample some of the excellent seafood down at the port while you are there.
Ferries: Every 20-40 minutes from Cais do Sodre.
Great little traditional restaurant with azulejo décor, a menu of Portuguese staples and friendly service. No wonder it’s packed full of locals at lunchtime.

A buzzing outdoor terrace, quality coffee, history and that atmospheric, cavernous interior – damn the critics, this Brazilian lady is a Lisbon classic.

Boasting one of Lisbon’s best views, at U Terracao you can enjoy the panorama of this elegant city from a comfortable chair with the beverage of your choice at hand. Take a break from the climb up to the castle and have a look at where you are.

Don't go to the Coffee Parisien if you're looking for a typical French place. It's a diner where you'll have a good American brunch on weekends. They do great eggs benedict, pancakes and burgers.
Several locations in Paris but I prefer the one in St-Germain.

Amazing place in the Richelieu wing of the Louvre. There's a nice terrace with a view of the Louvre pyramid. Nice cocktails and club sandwich but you go there for the location not really for the food.

Stylish restaurant with a great mix of Moroccan and European design. A friend of mine booked it for us and we ate on the roof terrace which has great views over Marrakech. There are two menus: one typically Moroccan and the other more fusion International/Moroccan. I had a Moroccan tajine which was extremely tasty.
Reservation is recommended. It's not cheap but it's a romantic place and is also good for small groups.

By far my favourite, if you go to Megeve you must go there for lunch or dinner. Old Savoy farmhouse at the foot of the World Cup slope, excellent food and typical Savoyard atmosphere.

A group of small beautiful islands on the lake that is an easy day trip from Granada.
You can even stay overnight on some of them.
We had a fantastic holiday thanks to the warm hospitality, wonderful cycling routes, great local knowledge and an extravaganza of vegetarian culinary delights!
We really enjoyed coming back to the beautiful barn every evening, relaxing with a glass of wine and swapping stories with Barry the cat.
We would love to return and highly recommend.
A brilliant sailing cruise in Santorini. It makes you feel Greek! I found the price to be cheaper than other cruises on the island.
We payed euro 700.00 for a group of nine people and that included transfers from and to the hotel. We also had pre-arranged what we would like to eat as some of us are vegetarian.
The boat is a beautiful wooden Greek sailboat with plenty of space to relax, enough shaded areas (especially for me that likes the sun but not all day) and the meals are traditional Greek.
I booked via email with them for me and a small group of friends for a half day trip and ended up booking them twice more while in Santorini.
I would recommend this particular boat for small groups or family's that just want to feel the real thing.
This is a hidden gem, tucked away down steps accessed via an alleyway off King's Parade, opposite the main gate to King's College. It's a vegetarian establishment but if you're not veggie, don't let that deter you. The place is small but very pleasant inside and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic, really tasty with a very varied choice, not cheap but not overpriced either, and worth every penny. The beetroot chocolate cake was to die for (and I don't particularly like beetroot.) If I didn't live five hours drive away I'd certainly go again just for that. Well worthy of a recommendation.
