This is the best view in The Cape. You dine on superb food while the restaurant turns at a leisurely pace giving you a view of the city from on high.
It's 22 storeys up at the top of the Ritz hotel and looks like an alien spaceship has landed on top of the building to the casual observer. Inside it's well decorated with an open kitchen and candles on the tables.
There is nowhere else you can get this standard for so little money (mains from 90 rand). A pianist plays while you dine which, combined with the great food and super service, makes for an unforgettable experience.

Excellent place to spend time in Delhi. The place offers designer stores for Indian handicrafts, restaurants, cafes in the outer and middle lane, some of Delhi's oldest bookshops and Lodhi Gardens are right next door!
Found this wonderful retro-style steakhouse on my first visit. Superb steaks are cooked by owner/chef Jimmy in his open style kitchen.
Smooth jazz plays in the background while you eat. Try the brandy steak and the chilli calamari.
The Buzbey is a Cape treasure. Reasonably priced, booking is advisable at weekends. Gay friendly.

It's a very nice restaurant serving good Portuguese food. It has a very friendly atmosphere - it's family run.
Although it isn't mentioned in the menu, it has an excellent vegetarian option, which is very imaginative (rare in Portuguese cooking!).

I've only ever had great meals and service in this restaurant over the last 20 years. Mr. Khandoker is a bit of a local institution largely because of the amazing amount of charity work he does. Go.

The Kashmir is, in my opinion, Bradford's best curry house.
Downstairs it's a basic curry cafe - everything you expect from that genre, formica topped tables, no cutlery, food served in school dinner type bowls - upstairs it's a normal curry house. I have never seen anyone eating upstairs!
The food is freshly cooked, tasty and filling. Only a wimp uses cutlery!
Nearest station is Forster Square. The Kashmir is just up the hill from the IMAX cinema.
This is a hidden gem, set in the greenfields of Fairlop Waters in Ilford. Phenomenal chilli chicken, and excellent veggie options.
The food is supposed to be authentic Mumbai cuisine, which is the one place in India where you can find the whole country's various delicacies united. It overlooks a lake, and you can smoke some great apple mint tobacco in their sheeshas. Great value for money.

This must be the best Indian Restaurant in the Milton Keynes area. The food is superb - excellent. It is very consistent, we have yet to have a poor meal there. The service is great.

This place is a real oddity. Very old fashioned and mainly inhabited by ageing Poles. Pictures of the (last) Pope abound.
Head downstairs for the great little Polish food store (good vodka and sausages) and the interesting restaurant. This place serves seriously authentic Polish food. Anyone who has eaten Polish food will know that it is an acquired taste, but for those who already know they like it, this place is excellent. Beware - the menu is in Polish and many of the staff do not speak English.

One of the most charming small museums in Birmingham with a recently added visitor centre and tea room. A real Brummy gem. The house itself is very small, but taken together this is a real treat.

The Custard Factory is a large former industrial complex housing creative businesses and a number of nice cafes and bars, including the Medicine Bar and Rooty Fruity.
There a few galleries, shops and showrooms that are also worth a visit.
You don't feel like you're in Brum when you visit this place, which for most people is a good thing.

Just one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. Upmarket and quite pricey but a millions miles away from most of the rubbish served up elsewhere in Brum. Well worth splashing out on. Four lovely rooms upstairs as well for any one staying over.

The Sheesh Mahal on Kirkstall Road always manages to amaze me with both the quality of the food and service on offer. Azram, the owner, is always serving and chatting with his regulars, and nothing is too much trouble for him, whether it is explaining the history behind dishes on the menu, or providing cake and a free bottle of wine for a friend's birthday.
There are many very, very good curry houses in Leeds and Bradford, but the Sheesh manages to serve food that's up there with the best. The service always tips the scales in the Sheesh's direction though.
Key dishes to try include the prawn puri starter, and either the fish balti or sheesh gosht karahi with a side order of cauliflower and aubergine. I've tried most of the menu and have yet to have a bad meal there.

This historic Grade 2-listed building is Birmingham's finest example of Victorian pub architecture, resplendent in decorative tiles and stained glass.
The pub serves Oakham's award-winning real ales, guest ales from the region and across the country and imported bottled beers from around the world. Authentic freshly cooked Thai food is served from 12 noon-2.30pm and 5.30-10pm Tuesday to Sunday.

Just returned from a lovely week in Seville. The highlights were a very informative and enjoyable walking tour of the city by a company called 'Really Discover'. Both Luis (the guide) and David (via email) were incredibly helpful and are definitely recommended.
Also visited a restaurant called 'Naranja'. A bit out of town up near the Almeda de Hercules but worth the effort. Delicious Andalusian food in a very contemporary setting.

One of the oldest Indian restaurants in London. Great chicken tikka. Try the mixed grill and the king prawn sag is to die for.
