    ANWB Motorists' Shop

Posted by PhilSen 20 June 2006

The Dutch equivalent of the AA or RAC, the ANWB has a shop behind the Rijksmuseum that is the place to come if you're considering a bike or road trip. All the maps you could ask for (in Dutch of course, but that's no big) and accessories from gel seats to emergency triangles. Members get a discount, and the ANWB is affiliated to the AA so it's worth a shot.

    Venice hotels

Posted by Isolda 7 November 2005

A great website by Krysve. Hotel information and booking for four good hotels (Salieri, Art Deco, Al Sole, Florida) as well as photos of Venice (including some taken in March this year - really a fantastic experience in Venice!). This site is well-maintained and a wonderful resource for anyone who is in love with or who wants to visit Venice. Certainly the creator of the website loves the city maybe more than anyone I else I met during my stay. Try it!
