    Honda Welcome Plaza

Posted by Sissi 29 August 2008

See some of the coolest new technology at Honda’s flagship store. Ride the motorcycle simulator or see the demonstrations of ASIMO, the humanoid robot (daily at 10.30am, 11.50am and 3pm). Best of all, it’s free!

Japan's mobile phone system is not compatible with most non-Japanese phones. This includes Blackberrys and tri-region phones. Make sure you don't get caught short by checking to see if your phone gives you a signal when you get off the plane. If not, you are able to rent a phone at the airport (it's easier here as you can return it just before you head home and the language barrier is not an issue).

    ScienceWorks

Posted by ismith 16 November 2005

Incorporating the Planetarium, the ScienceWorks museum in Melbourne brings a new slant on science... it's not boring, it's not drab, this museum of science brings excitement to this topic!

With hands-on exhibits, live demonstrations, tours, activities and shows, science has never been quite this much fun and also you can have fun exploring the mysteries of science and today's technology. It's a great place for kids too with lots of things for them. It's close to the CBD (1 km over the Westgate bridge) and parking is free.

    Das Museum für Kommunikation Berlin

Posted by rootoftwo 24 September 2005

Fantastic and immaculate display of technological widgets from an entire floor of valves to an exploded and suspended post coach. The highlight has got to be the three robots that greet you in the foyer. Geek heaven.
