The Hotel Sovietsky (a deliciously kitsch venue just north of the Garden Ring) have rooms for 7,200 rubles - £156. The Warsaw Hotel has singles for 4,300 rubles (about £94) and doubles for 6,250 (about £135 or £68 each). Like Home Apartments have flats available before and after the match.

Nationals from some countries can enter Vietnam without a visa for certain period of time ranging from 15-90 days, such as Nordic and South East Asia. However, many travelers may wish to change their travel plan and stay in Vietnam longer than their given time. In this case, tourists need to apply for a visa while they are still in the country, and the fee they have to pay will be much higher than the normal one, around 50-70$ US.

If you are planning to spend time in Sharm el-Sheikh and will not be going anywhere other than the Aqaba coast or St. Catherine's monastery, you do not need an Egyptian visa for which you will spend a lot of time standing in line for to change money to buy it and then to get the actual visa.
Just go directly to passport control. I've been here a couple of times and I've seen everyone paying for these visas, when they have no intention to either leave the resort or the Aqaba coast. The Egyptians are very happy to let entire planeloads of tourists pay for a visa they will not need.

Make sure you get your Indian visa as early as possible as the Indian embassy in London has recently been having difficulties in processing applications.
My friend had to take two days off work to get his visa in person. I think they're now taking postal applications again.

Outside of Nairobi it is almost impossible to use either a Maestro, Mastercard or travellers' cheques if you are not in a four or five-star lodge.
You really need US dollars in high ($50 or $100) new (post-2003) bills or a visa debit or credit card to use the ATMs. Even Barclays bank outside of Nairobi won't accept Mastercard.

You either get a visa from your local embassy or make sure you have a passport photo, $30 dollars, a pen, and the form in arrivals. You can get a form from the Nepal embassy website in advance. There are computers in the terminal but it's all done by hand so be patient.

Also, take dollars and baht for entry to the border for a visa as i believe there is a scam for exchanging money, i.e. one day baht, the next dollars so that tourists get caught out and are obliged to change money at the border.
If you're flying directly to Sharm be aware that you need 2 stickers in your passport if you want to leave the area and travel through mainland Egypt.
A visa valid for a stay of one month will cost £15 for UK citizens if bought from the Egyptian embassy in London, and can be bought on arrival at most points of entry into Egypt, including Luxor Airport (where it will cost you £10).
