    Pizzeria Pappagone

    Posted by Dommy 18 August 2006

    Cheap and cheerful pizza and pasta restaurant on Stroud Green Road in Finsbury Park. Friendly people, massive pizzas and noisy as hell on weekend nights. Pizzas cost about seven quid. Avoid the horrible pub next door though.

    131 Stroud Green Road, London N4 3PX; tel: 020 7263 2114;

    The Ginger Man pub

    Posted by Dommy 1 November 2005

    A haven amongst the sports bars of midtown, this is a friendly pub which offers loads of different beers - including local ones - on tap. Try the Blue Point toasted lager. I did.

    Siam Inn

    Posted by Dommy 1 November 2005

    Thai restaurant in the theatre district (or more honestly, the 'adult' neighborhood of 8th avenue). Great pad thai for about nine bucks.
