    Mackintosh masterpiece building of the last century. A granite wonder to come upon as you wander an ordinary street: huge northern windows with rose & sword ironwork, long library windows on the west; a structure that continues to influence contemporary architecture.

    Large and varied collection includes more Degas than you would expect, extraordinary French impressionists, memorable Old Masters. Outside you are surrounded by bamboo trees & water gardens. Worth the trip.

    The great green outdoors with giant eucalyptus trees, hiking paths to city views, polo field, Will's old house & cars, large circular horse stable from 1920s.
