    Slow ferry to Cheung Chau Island

    A beautiful place about an hour's ferry ride from Central. I lived in HK for 4 years and this was my favourite spot to relax and unwind. Take in a walk around the island, enjoy the village atmosphere compared to the mania that is HK island. From memory there is a Bun Festival in/around May which is worth a trip.

    Bayside Coastal Art Trail

    Well worth a walk as it encompasses some of the the best vistas onto Port Phillip Bay and some good beaches. Set up to educate users on local artists and why/where they painted what they did - includes Tom Roberts and Arthur Streeton. If you have time, have a coffee at the Rickett's Point cafe overlooking the beach...
