Camping on the beach at Ardroil

Posted by Kabak 23 February 2008

If you want a break that gives you peace and quiet, beautiful Scottish island scenery, a pristine beach, sparkling sea and masses of outdoor space to let the kids explore, this is perfect.

There is no formal camp ground. You pitch your tent on the grass next to the beach and put some money in a box in the local village. There are public toilets to use but other than that, this is pretty wild camping.

The area is really safe so the kids can go off and explore the beach and rock pools whilst you relax and get the camp fire going. Long summer days, lovely walking, swimming, fresh air and starry skies. This is a wonderful, memorable place to take the family.

    Bolton Market

Posted by Kabak 23 December 2007

Winner of the 2006 Manchester Food and Drink Festival for Best Food Outlet, Bolton Market will blow you away in what it has to offer. Whether it is fresh lobster, rabbit, organic veg, cheeses it is definitely worth a trip.

I go there for the fish. I have never seen so much choice and the quality is superb.

Forget your trendy expensive farmers' markets. I have found Bolton Market to be cheap, friendly, original and without doubt the best place for foodies in Greater Manchester.

    Kabak Natural Life

Posted by Kabak 19 February 2007

Kabak is the pefect antidote to the more commercial spots along the Turquoise coast. Wind your way south by dolmus to a secluded valley surrounded by mountains leading down to a beautiful beach and clear sea. Stay in tree houses or bring your own tent. We stayed at Kabak Natural Life which has organic food, lots of places to laze and a mule to carry your bags from the road to your tree house.
