    Field of Miracles

Posted by Londonguy 27 October 2006

This is the place to get that picture every one has got of someone holding up the leaning tower or that postcard of all three buildings, the tower, the baptistry and the Duomo or cathedral.

Staying here for a night to get your flight or stop off before you hit the rest of Tuscany can be a good diea. It will leave you refreshed and ready to see all the wonders this part of Italy has to offer.

    Seville Cathedral

Posted by Londonguy 27 October 2006

This is a storming place to see in all its glory. When the sun beats down on you it is a wonderful and cool refuge. Once inside, you will be utterly amazed at the wonders that lie in store here.

The Golden Alter at the centre of the cathedral is something that you just cannot miss even if you tried.

Must be seen to be believed.

    The Alhambra Granada

Posted by Londonguy 27 October 2006

Well what can I say? The last of the Moorish strongholds. One of the things that Europe really does have going for it is even when conquerers conquered, they took over the magnificent building and did not destroy them. This really is magnificent as well.

No two ways about it if you are in Andalucia for any period of time Granada and this great red castle are a must.

    Meltons in York

Posted by Londonguy 27 October 2006

This is one of THE places to eat in York. Fabulous service, great food and a good atmosphere. It was originally a couple of Victorian terraces houses that they have knocked into one place. It does have a bit of a feel of someone's front room to it but if you can put up with that you will not be disappointed.
