    Mimi Deli

Posted by MaxT 24 September 2010

We were looking for a vegetarian lunch and this deli has a great selection of freshly made items in their chill cabinet. You can have a mixed plate selection for about 10 euros. Either choosing exactly what you want or leaving the selection to them. Seating inside or take-away. Make sure you ask for a vegetarian platter but also make it clear you don't want meat or fish items. They also serve a big selection of non-veggie items, so might not immediately appreciate the vegetarian thing.

Via B. Colleoni, 26. On the main shopping street in the old town - opposite a restaurant owned by the same people.

    Souperfood

Posted by MaxT 28 September 2009

Fantastic soups, a salad bar, sandwiches, pastries, hot drinks and juices and hot daily special dishes. They also happen to be vegetarian - but don't make a big deal of it and put tasty food first.

Just walk for half a minute down Rumford Street (off Water Street) and for weekday mornings or lunchtimes you'll find Souperfood (previously called Soupernatural). Mainly take-away but also have a small number of seats.

    Lucca Restaurant

Posted by MaxT 13 November 2008

We had great pizzas at this busy restaurant which clearly is popular with local people including families with kids. Well worth a short Metro ride to Roma station.

Travessa Henrique Cardoso 19b - off from Avenida da Roma.

Both these modern vegetarian restaurants served really tasty fresh food. We'd highly recommend them both.

    Vegetarian and Sushi Cafe/Restaurant

Posted by MaxT 24 September 2007

If you fancy a bit of a change of food while in Alghero then Ko De Kap Sushi and vegetarian cafe is fantastic. The modern decor is great, staff really friendly and food delicious.

It's closed Mondays and limited menu on Tuesday lunchtimes. They also do takeaway. We were really pleased to find it - sure this is a top tip for an area where the range of types of food is a bit limited; especially for veggies.

Via Asfodelo 35, Alghero. It's opposite the marina; you can see the sign if you look across the road and on the other side of a large car park.
