    Indigo

Posted by Mickhud 10 July 2008

Indigo is a restaurant, formerly Maria's, in the New Market in Rhodes Town. It is adorned with billowing drapes so you feel as though you are eating in a tent. The food is wonderful, the service discreet and pleasant - no touting - and the wine is excellent. Despite all this, it is not expensive and offers great value for money.

    Taverna Kostas

Posted by Mickhud 7 July 2008

A traditional taverna in the old town. No touting, no hard sell, just great food served by father and sons. Enclosed garden terrace with views. Reasonably priced with the best yigantes I have ever tasted!

    City Center Hotel

Posted by Mickhud 7 July 2008

This is a great budget hotel in Rhodes Town with a good restaurant and a wonderful Bar for people watching. The staff are, without exception, friendly, helpful and hospitable and the breakfast is great (full English buffet). The hotel is two minutes from the town beach and a pleasant stroll away from the amazing Old Town.

    Trattoria Angiolino

Posted by Mickhud 5 March 2008

Just spent a month in Florence and ate in this wondrous restaurant seven times! Great food, terrific atmosphere, superb service, discounts and many free drinks. They gave us two bottles of wine on our last night. Watch the laid back guys in the kitchen and appreciate the effortless charm and expertise of the staff. Fantastic!

    Saltwater Cafe

Tiny little restaurant with great food and lots of veggie options. Good wine list and pleasant service. How they can produce so much from a miniscule kitchen is miraculous

    Blue Bay Hotel

A friendly well run hotel with fantastic views of the bay beyond. Run by an Australian Greek family for whom nothing is too much trouble. Has an internet cafe as well.

    The Three Ferrets

Posted by Mickhud 24 August 2007

An old-fashioned pub with no food (you can bring your own in), reasonably priced by St.Ives standards with interesting inmates and great draught Becks.

    Porthgwidden Beach Cafe

Posted by Mickhud 24 August 2007

A great little restaurant with fantastic views and great ambience, as well as good food! Less well-known (and less expensive!) than its big brother on Porthminster but up there with it.
