    Les Frangines - Bistro

Posted by NicktheBrit 1 September 2007

If you are in south Paris (where a few budget hotels are), but fancy some decent food at a reasonable price then check out this family-run bistro.

Recently renovated, this is a place that is packed with locals, and it is clear why - the food is excellent and the atmosphere lively and friendly. Marie, one of the sisters in the Bistro's name speaks excellent English and would be more than happy to share her passion for the capital city with you.

Good food, good wine, very reasonable prices, good location if you are south of the river.

    Auberge Nicolas Flamel

Posted by NicktheBrit 1 September 2007

For a treat in central Paris that won't break the bank, try out this intimate little restaurant that is housed in the oldest standing house in Paris.

Two set menus are available, 34 Euros and 51 Euros from memory, together with a fantastic wine list (even the cheapest bottle was excellent). Food, service and atmosphere are all top class.
