Open now for over 20 years, this is a Castillian restaurant in the hillside village of Esporles. There are other great lamb places on the island but this one is the best; order one portion less than your party as it's enough. The salad and potatoes are good too, the bread is made on site in the same wood fired oven as the lamb. Better for a chilly rainy day than a sweltering day in August.
Calle Nou de Sant Pere 5, Esporles.

Opened at the end of last summer, Duke has become the best place to eat in the Sta Catalina district, a relaxed fun atmosphere with genuinely good food from a changing menu. It's a great place to go even on a "quiet" night, because its always bustling and busy. They also do a lunchtime menu.
Calle Soler in Sta Catalina, by the corner with Calle Pursiana.
There is a great cycle path along Palmas seafront and beyond towards the west, if you have a hire car you can get free bicycles in the underground parking on the seafront across from the cathedral as long as you are parked there, then cycle west and enjoy a ride along the busy neighbourhoods of Palmas coastline. There are many good places to stop off and grab a bite on the way.
The entrance to the garage is on the main causeway along the seafront across from the cathedral.
It's the neighbourhood just across the "river" from the town centre and has a great choice of restaurants, a busy market and friendly vecinos. Go in the mornings when the market is open to have a peek and have a coffee in the very friendly Cafe Isleño, most nearby restaurants are very good.
Barrio Sta Catalina, walk across the river and park from the museo Es Baluard or ask any Palmesano who will point you in the general direction.
