    Hotel Carmen Sercotel

Posted by RobJackson 27 September 2005

The Carmen is a large four-star hotel in the centre of Granada. It has a restaurant serving excellent breakfasts and evening meals, a large comfortable lounge with bar, a piano bar, outdoor pool and roof terrace. Everything about it is high quality; from the bedrooms and public rooms, to the efficiency and friendliness of the staff.

The Carmen is quiet and relaxing, depite being only a five-minute walk from the cathedral and a ten-minute bus or taxi ride from the Alhambra.

    City Sightseeing Bus

Posted by RobJackson 19 September 2005

The open top tourist buses run on three routes from Pazza Municipio. Naples is a very large city and this is a good way to get your bearings. I particularly recommend Line B, south-west along the bay, the quieter side of Naples, which provides great views of the bay and Vesuvius.

    Hotel Caravaggio

Posted by RobJackson 19 September 2005

Small four-star hotel. Only 18 rooms, very comfortable and at reasonable prices. Breakfast room and bar. If you like staying in the heart of a city this hotel is ideal. It's in a small piazza in the shadow of the Duomo but surprisingly quiet. Staff are helpful and welcoming.
