I found the metro cheap, reliable and safe. One should keep an eye on ones belongings but this can be said of any transport system.

There appears to be no etiquette with regards to entering or leaving the carriages. Once the doors open you rush in/out regardless of what everyone else might be doing which took a little getting used to.
