After living in Sydney for several months the thing I miss most about the city is the nightlife - that and the commuting across the famous harbour (ocean spray in the morning is so much better than a grungy tube).
Of all the clubs, I recommend most are Home Club and Tank for rock solid nights... whereas Pontoon is perfect for a drink on the harbour.
Finally, Sounds on Sunday at the Greenwood is essential for cool clubbers.
Cracow Life is a website about Cracow/Krakow that has soul! In particular I refer to the drink section to research good pubs and bars and night clubs for a piwo (beer), and there's usually loads of good public reviews too so you can get a flavour of what each place is like and how popular they are. They also have feature articles on things like nightlife and the various tourist attractions.
Riga is a fantastic city and I'm delighted that more and more people (besides myself) are finally discovering it.
There are a lot of stag groups but thankfully more and more 'civilised' people are also coming and discovering more than just bars and girls. A good all-round guide that I've found helpful in the past is www.riga-life.com. And the sites I'd recommend especially in Riga are Jurmala, Dome Cathedral and Academy of Science.
