The house that Robert Graves built in 1932, a five minute walk from the village of Deia is now a museum. With all the original furniture and fittings in place, his books on the shelf and the press he bought to print his own and friends’ works, it feels like he still lives here, that he’s just popped out for a walk and could be back at any minute.
The garden, planted with olive, carob and almond trees is also much as he and his wife Laura left it.
