Deserted even in September, descending to the Bay of Silence on the Asturian coast about 25 miles west of Asturias airport near Oviedo, is like being lowered out of sight of the rest of the world. From above, the view glimpsed through pine trees shows cliff-side steps twisting down a white cliff to a cove. Protected by apostle-like rock stacks, the tranquil beach is inexplicably empty, while grey and cream flow lines of rock strata at the cliff base betray the tumultuous activity of past ages. A diversion for those on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela trail?

A blue room and a yellow room, both in delicate pastel shades and frilly lace soft furnishings. I think of the Yorkie bar advert, but with a twist, this is not for men!
The exotic cats bred in their own lavish home further emphasize how pampered guests are.
Primrose Farm’s neat and mature one acre garden invites a wander among the shrubs and trees of this former farm house just two miles from the coast at Walcott and five miles from Happisburgh in Norfolk.
The barn and stable have been converted into two guest rooms, a double and a twin. Both rooms utilise the inter-connecting shower room and the sitting/dining room full of books with a TV. The crown being the external patio, solid wood chairs and table for jam and toast in the morning sun.
