    The Cosmopolitan

    Posted by benmarshall1 29 June 2006

Bright, brash and camp – David Dale and his team are the ultimate show-queens. Comedy and cabaret makes Jersey’s only official gay-friendly venue a great night out.

The small club upstairs opens at weekends and is a popular haunt for the island’s small but friendly gay scene, hen parties and office party stragglers.

Forget trick or treat. Mexicans celebrate The Day of the Dead (Día de Meurtos) in outrageous style in remembrance of their dead relatives.
Living Room gay club is packed out most weekends, but especially worth a visit for the festival. This former church is busting at the altar with fire-eaters, monsters on stilts and house tunes louder than any male voice choir.
Arrive early to enjoy the queue and check out some of the city's hottest guys and girls.

I am 30 years old and based in London. I spend most of my time travelling both on short breaks and to more far flung destinations. I love discovering unusual and good value hotels and restaurants, and of course writing about them on my return.
