One of the best Nepali restaurants in London, arguably the best in west London. There is a wide variety of dishes, including vegetarian, and the knowledgable staff will guide you if necessary.

    Nessebar Old Town

    Posted by doonhamer32 8 June 2007

The Old Town is linked to the mainland by a single causeway, entering the town through a single archway. The whole of the Old Town is a Unesco World Heritage site, and has some stunning old churches, some dating from around 1000 AD. There are a number of excellent restaurants, with seafood a speciality.

Take a bus from Sunny Beach
    Nearest airport - Bourgas.

    De Kantjil en de Tijger

    Posted by doonhamer32 16 January 2006

This traditional Indonesian restaurant offers authentic Indonesian food at very reasonable prices, and therefore does get very busy at peak times. That said it is worth the wait, and the rijstafel is highly recommended in any of the offered versions.

    Museum Amstelkring

    Posted by doonhamer32 16 January 2006

Two museums for the price of one. The Amstelkring shows a 17th-century canal house as it would have been, and is a fascinating place. Best of all, though, on the top (attic) floor, is a complete, secret, Catholic church, from the time of the Reformation, when Catholicism was banned in Amsterdam.

The museum also has a game for younger children - find the ladybird; there are a number of tiny ladybird models all over the museum - how many can you find?

    Ristorante Vitale

    Posted by doonhamer32 9 December 2005

This small, family owned Italian restuarant, just off the Avenue Louise, serves some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted, inside or outside Italy.
