    Camden Market

    Posted by euro07 25 October 2007

One of the most popular places in London for shopping and having fun with the whole family on a sunny weekend. Walk up and down Camden High Street and have a snack in the numerous pubs and cafes or take a canal boat trip.

    Culinary London

    Posted by euro07 25 October 2007

One of the things I like in London is the variety of restaurants with so many different kinds of cuisine and flavours. London has everything for everyone's taste. From fish and chips to the most sophisticated dishes. Exotic and ethnic cuisines are to be found in most areas of London. But also traditional English food in many pubs and restaurants like Maggie Jones's in 6 Old Court Place near Kensington High Street .

A good idea for a weekend city break with all the family is Canterbury. Visit the Cathedral and other historic churches like St Martin's church and take a boat tour along the Stour river.

    The Coopers Arms pub

    Posted by euro07 4 October 2007

Probably one of the best pubs in Rochester. Slightly out of the tourist route as it is behind the high street, the castle and the cathedral on the smal road leading out of Rochester.

Small and cosy with open fire in winter. Only two bars with the saloon serving excellent food at lunchtime - except on Sundays.

Cruise up the Thames in London

    Posted by euro07 4 October 2007

A visit to London must surely include a boat trip on the Thames. Reasonably priced and interesting for everyone. I would recommend doing this early on during your trip because from the river, you can get your bearings and identify historical sites like the Tower of London that you may wish to add to your list of places to visit on land.
