    Fairview Winery

    Posted by goshorty82 30 May 2009

Great place to visit. Quirky winery, check out the emphasis on goats, with their goat clock tower and puns on many a classical French region in the wines they produce [Goats do Roam, Bored Doe, Goat Door, etc.] but with tasty stuff inside the bottle too. They do some excellent cheese and if the sun is out then the location is ace. So long as you're not the designated driver it's a perfect day out!

    Le Fetiche Restaurant

    Posted by goshorty82 18 November 2008

An excellent seafood restaurant located just by the the Vieux port. We had salt baked turbot and king prawns. While portions weren't huge, the quality couldn't be faulted. Ideal for a well earned treat.

    Taxi Tour

    Posted by goshorty82 17 November 2008

The Belfast taxi tour takes in the history of the troubles, the murals, the peace wall and the areas of significance. As an Englishman visiting Belfast for the first time this was by far the most striking, memorable and humbling part of our trip. All driver-guides have been involved in the troubles from a political or paramilitary standpoint in some way. Hearing from them firsthand, in an unbiased and even-handed manner, the rich detail of such recent struggles and resolutions is worth every penny.

Taxi tours are easily bookable through the tourist office.

The most delicious bouillabaisse is served in this smart and charming restaurant overlooking a quaint harbour in the Vallon des Auffes. Take the Rue de Vallon west to the coast to enjoy. Finish with a stroll along the seaside looking out to the Chateau d'If.
