    Coed Cae

Posted by happytraveller 19 January 2011

The best B&Bs are those that make you feel like you're in the comfort of your own home and Coed Cae certainly fits the bill. Situated in two acres of woodland overlooking the beautiful Mawddach estuary, the B&B is ideally located for those hoping to indulge in outdoor pursuits although equally perfect for those wishing to sit back and relax in a beautiful setting. Don't miss host Jackie's exquisite home cooked with a local and seasonal twist!

Escape the heat of the day (and the hoards) and head to the Hammam de Al Andalus Banos Arabes.
Relax while enjoying traditional Hammam massage or refresh in the clear blue pools while glimpsing the sky through the star shaped roof lights.
Top it all off with Arabic pastries and tea. The ultimate afternoon of relaxation.

    Sei Divino

Posted by happytraveller 8 August 2010

Tucked away, a short walk away from the main tourist area this bar offers an impressive and varied collection of Italian wines along with a fabulous and relaxed atmosphere. They also shake up a mean cocktail (with generous measures too!). Free wi-fi also available.

Located in a beautiful building in central Singapore, having undergone massive redevelopment several years ago, this museum is a real must for anyone visiting the city. The exhibitions here are truly world class, presented in an innovative and interesting way, and provide a real snapshot into the Singapore of past and present. Entrance fees are minimal, and the staff on hand are plentiful. A must for old and young visiting the city.

    Pompa - Italian Bistro

Posted by happytraveller 23 July 2008

Set in the Museum Quarter, the restaurant is only a stone's throw from the city's most popular museums and makes an ideal dinnertime stop. It is also fairly reasonably priced in what is otherwise a rather pricey area. The service was friendly, personal and relaxed. More importantly, the food was divine. Good quality, carefully cooked - relaxed dining as it should be on holiday.

Full of character, situated in the trendy Jordaan area. Excellent Dutch apple cake, and a wonderful array of interesting lunchtime snacks with healthy options. Very reasonably priced as well. Sit outside on the canal and watch the world go by.

The perfect place to put your feet up after a long days walking up nearby Pen-y-Fan and the surrounding peaks. This gastropub serves absolutely delicious food, brilliant service and a wide array of beers, cider (and even perry!) on tap. A jem in a beautiful part of Wales!

Delicious crisp and crunchy chips - just as they should be. Served with a wide array of different choices of fish... choose from skate or sole rather than the usual cod. A splendid trip and while you're there, you'll probably find yourself just having to go into one of the best farm shops ever!

    Naschmarkt

Posted by happytraveller 6 January 2007

Do not miss this if you visit Vienna - just a short and cheap underground ride from the centre and main attractions, Naschmarkt is a great place to explore for fun, or simply to eat very cheaply. Choose from a wide range of specialist food stalls (lots of cheese, olives etc) from around the world. A great multi-cultural experience if you get the chance, and even better if you're on a budget!
