    Supper Inn Chinese Restaurant

Posted by kazzzz 24 April 2007

The best Chinese food in Melbourne. Simple surroundings, so the decor isn't great but the service is fast! Been there 21 years and I have it on good authority from a chef friend that lots of chefs in Melbourne go there to eat. Beware of the queue but if it's out as far as the door you won't be waiting more than 20 minutes.

    Churasscaria Brasil

Posted by kazzzz 29 August 2006

Beautiful Brazilian restaurant in Dublin's south city centre. If you've never had a Brazilian meal, try the BBQ. Some of the nicest meat to be found in Ireland (apparently straight from Brazil though!). Have a light lunch as you get loads of food, and don't forget to try one or two caipirinhas!

    Jet Apartments

Posted by kazzzz 1 August 2006

The now infamous Jet Apartments on Playa D'en Bossa's main beach are very basic accommodation. However the location cannot be beaten. The complex houses the famous Bora Bora beach bar and is across the road from Space Nightclub, the Waterpark and a €6 taxi ride to Ibiza town. Location location location.

    Glendalough

Posted by kazzzz 31 July 2006

Take a trip outside Dublin to Glendalough (glen of the two lakes), a village in County Wicklow complete with lake and an ancient monastic settlement from the 6th century. A very magical place not far from Dublin city.

    Clarion Hotel

Posted by kazzzz 28 July 2006

If you like your hotels ultra-modern and luxiourious this is the one for you. It's ten minutes or so walk from the main shopping street (Patricks St). Beautiful rooms, nice bar, nice restaurant and friendly, efficient staff. Request river views with balcony rather than the Atrium.

    Kilmainham Gaol

Posted by kazzzz 15 December 2005

Built in 1976, Kilmainham Gaol is one of Europe’s largest unoccupied jails. Rebels from the 1916 rising were murdered here and it has an eerie, sad and humbling aura. Learn about Ireland’s struggle for independence on the tour (apparently the best in the city).

    Rene's Croissanterie

Posted by kazzzz 15 December 2005

The most delicious cakes and chocolates in the world. Prepare for gluttony, but it's worth it. Try their pancake with fresh cream and strawberries, absolutely delicious especially after visiting the Paradiso down the road.

    Magic Mushroom Gallery

Posted by kazzzz 15 December 2005

A mini-gallery full of herbal and legal highs. The friendly gentleman who is there regularly will advise on the potency of their various goodies, so not to worry for the inexperienced. Try their Mexican magic mushrooms if you dare.
