    The Goring Hotel

Posted by monkette 12 January 2006

It is a fantastically old fashioned hotel with a great restaurant serving a great selection of British food. Perfect for a special occasion and a great location next to Buckingham Palace. It is privately owned so individual in every aspect.

    The Marina

Great place to visit on a sunny day as you can look over the harbour and there is a great selection of bars & restaurants (tends to be the chains).

    Ronda

Posted by monkette 31 October 2005

Ronda is a historical town at the top of the mountains, which is a breath of fresh air from the Costa del Sol strip. The drive up there has amazing views and lots of stopping points to take pitcures. You can also see the old single track road which is quite scarey (especially as tourist coaches had to use it until the new one was built!). The oldest bullring in Spain is at Ronda and there are some lovely eateries too. There is also a great Parador hotel which overlooks the gorge.
