I am not sure if it is true, but still Lagiewniki Forest, situated in the northern part of Lodz and easily accessed by buses from the centre of the city, can well compete with the Bois de Boulogne in Paris or Krakow's Wolski Forest. It is a great place for a family picnic, a bonfire, a bicycle trip or a stroll. There are many marked tourist trails and bicycle routes in the forest, as well as specially prepared picnic areas.
