    The Cottons

Posted by paulanddiane 23 July 2012

Hotel, Spa and Restaurant, just outside Knutsford at Mere.
Relaxed and friendly hotel, the dinner menu is superb and easily stands comparison with the likes of Jamie Oliver and Andrew Nutter. Breakfasts are substantial; we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day!
Staff are professional, friendly and have their own personalities.

    Jamie Oliver's Fifteen

Posted by paulanddiane 13 April 2012

We have had breakfast and lunch here, essential to book. Quality food and laid back atmosphere.
A must but be prepared for a lot of yummy mummies and kiddies.

    Rick Stein's Fish and Chips

Posted by paulanddiane 13 April 2012

Chippy opposite Lobster Hatchery. Fish and chips and you have to queue for ages.
The fish is good, but the chips are quite anonymous.

    First and Last

Posted by paulanddiane 30 October 2011

The First and Last might be the first or last pub in England, depending on which way you approach it. Fair sampling of locals and loads of tourists, football screen and pub food. The food is ok but as its a managed pub its a bit like cookingbynumbers and corporate food.
