With the chaos and cars of Kingsland Road, Dalston’s busy high street just around the corner, the Farm Shop on Dalston Lane makes a welcome escape. Slightly bizarre stark white décor greets you on arrival in their first room with ‘aquaponic’ fish tanks and a wall of plants. There are signs explaining that the water is circulated between the fish tanks and the plants and this is all harvested off the roof, which incidentally is where they keep their chickens! Wandering through the shop is more like a science museum with gems of sustainable inspiration and you can even hire out the polytunnels for parties complete with a disco ball! Once you’ve finished exploring the shop sells a range of delicious foodstuffs – from London honey to today’s eggs to fish to fairtrade organic coffee. There’s also often art on the walls up for grabs and the café serves the best bacon sandwich in London! Much loved and recommended for an intriguing shopping experience – who knows, you could come away with a chicken!

I have several tips for 'Brevs'! We stayed in Chalet Chardon which I highly recommend - the atmosphere is really friendly, everyone eats together and the bar underneath (The Underground) makes for much late night chalet bonding ... for better or worse! There's an amazing bit of off piste at the top of Grand Huit chairlift - trek up the steep slope opposite and over the other side is pristine powdery magic. And if that isn't enough at the bottom of the piste leading into Les Breviere there's an amazing mulled wine stall - a few euros gets you a mug full and a fast track to après ski table dancing! Oh and one last thing - if you are like me and not the best at the coordination thing, bum pads come in handy!

Ask yourself:
1. Do I like to party in a big way?
2. Am I WELL up for a laugh and partial to a bit of fancy dress?
3. Do I like snow and beautiful mountain scenery?
4. Does speeding down a slope and stopping for the odd rum hot chocolate with strudel sound perfect?

If you answered YES - and you really should do - then SNOWBOMBING is for you!

Imagine 4 adrenaline packed days of pure fun. The festival is one of the friendliest I've ever been too - people are there to really burn the candle at both ends. Go hard or go home is the slogan of the weekend and the energy is infectious. Dressed in some of the most imaginative costumes, people from all over Europe and beyond take over this Austrian resort and go wild.

All I can really say is if this appeals then DEFINITELY go! This is something you won't be able to do in 10 years unless you are REALLY hardcore, so go now before the thought of 4 days without sleep is too scary!! this is possibly the best weekend of your life.
