We took the children to see the World of Beatrix Potter attraction this last weekend in Windermere. They had a great time looking around the musuem and having fun with all the characters. They had just seen the film Miss Potter at the weekend at home so were very excited when we surprised them and took them there.

We've just had a lovely day out on Lake Windermere with Windermere Lake Cruises. The weather was just perfect as we set off from Bowness on Windermere and travelled to Ambleside, where we did a little shopping and had lunch at The Watersedge Inn on the lake before making the return trip.

We had a lovely visit to Holker Hall this last weekend. The gardens were absolutely stunning and the weather was just perfect. We bought a few foodie goodies which was all local produced. If you are visiting the lakes you must visit Holker Hall.
