The island Vis is still relatively new as a tourist destination.
You can relax and take time out to recharge your batteries, the weather is beautiful and the water is warm to swim in.
There are activities and tours to do on the water, otherwise just lie in the sun and enjoy the fantastic scenery around you.
The fish is fresh as this is a fishing island, and the wine is from its own vineyards. Bread is home baked, and can be bought fresh every morning.
Many people who do not know the Croatian culture could find the locals a little agressive in their manner, but it is not just with tourists but with each other, the idea is to not take it personally, and remember every country has its own way of interacting and communicating. Just go with the flow, after all you are on holiday, everything is an adventure.
