Excellent northern Italian food hidden in a pretty courtyard off Corso Cavour. Food ranging from simple (salad of rocket, parmesan, pears and walnuts) to Veronese specials (polenta with horsemeat ragu). Only expensive by local standards.

Small hotel in a great location on the corner of Piazza Erbe, with plain but comfortable rooms. Sunny terrace to enjoy breakfast on and friendly staff. Downsides: central location in pedestrian area means no parking, and lift only starts from 1st floor reception.
